JAMAAL DAVIS - MERRILLVILLE
1997 Indiana All-Star, AP 1st team all-state, IBCA 1st team all-state, Bloomington Herald-Times 1st team all-state and Indianapolis News 2nd team all-state after averaging 18.1 points for 21-3 sectional champions. Earned all-state honors three years, earning consensus all-state honors as junior with 18.9 scoring averaging on 18-6 sectional champs and 1st team underclass all-state as a sophomore averaging 12.7 points for 27-2 state runner-up team. Set Merrillville career scoring record of 1,275 points. Played freshman season at Purdue, sophomore year at Barton Community College and two seasons at University of Cincinnati, starting 34 games (6.7 points & 4.2 rebounds) for their 25-10 team that reached the Sweet 16 and starting 33 games (7.4 points & 5.1 rebounds) for their 2002 team that was ranked #5 in the nation and a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. He played professionally in the USBL and in Germany.
