Biography
2018: Norton was the 2018 Indoor State Champion in the shot put (59' 10.5") and heads into the outdoor season as the #1 ranked thrower in the State of Indiana.
Outdoor: DAC Champion in the shot put (60' 1.5") and discus (176' 4"). Undefeated in DAC Dual Meets in shot put and discus. Norton was also named the 2018 Duneland Athletic Conference Field Event MVP for the 2nd year in a row. Sectional Champion and Regional qualifier in the shot put (58' 4") and discus (181' 10"). Regional Champion and State Qualifier in both the shot put (61' 5.75") and discus (174' 3"). IHSAA State Runner-Up in the shot put and earned All-State honors with an 8th place finish in the discus.
2017: Placed 4th at the IHSAA State Championships in shot put with a throw of 55' 10.5" earning All-State Honors. At the IHSAA Regional Meet, Norton placed 3rd in the shot put (53' 6"). At the IHSAA Sectional Meet, Norton placed 3rd in the shot put (55' 7") and 2nd in the discus (156' 10"). Norton was named Duneland Athletic Conference Field Event MVP for winning the Discus (152' 4") and placing 2nd in the shot put (53' 4.23") to teammate Alfred Stubbs III (54' 8"). On 4/18, Norton had his best day to date with a person best in the shot put (56' 9.25") and discus (165' 5') at a dual meet vs LaPorte and Portage.
